Blybahn moves to Scaleway's European cloud
In September 2026, Blybahn moved from Microsoft Azure to the European cloud provider Scaleway. Our data was already stored in Europe. With this step, our hosting is now also provided by a European company. It's a deliberate choice for European technology and greater independence.
Blybahn & student associations
After KPN, it's the students' turn! This autumn, Blybahn banners are appearing in the apps of a first group of Dutch student associations. We can arrange that, because our parent company Zooma has another venture: Youmie, which builds the apps for pretty much every student association in the Netherlands. Handy, having a big family :-)
A promising partnership with KPN
This August, Blybahn was featured in the MijnKPN app! Through KPN Voor Jou, which treats loyal KPN customers to a little extra every week, KPN customers could send their best holiday post home as a real postcard, for free, from any holiday address on earth. To grandma, for instance :-)
Forget the like, give a sticky!
A thumbs up, a like, a flame. On most social media, reacting takes half a second and is forgotten just as fast. We thought: this can be more personal. So in Blybahn, you react with a sticky: a digital note you stick on a friend's post.
Mistral AI creates your memory quiz
Honestly: how closely do you look at your friends' posts? Scroll, heart, next. In Blybahn, we do things differently. When you publish a post, Mistral AI automatically turns it into a short memory quiz: three questions about what's in your post.
Groups: your own house party in Blybahn
From now on, you can create groups in Blybahn. Invite your friends or family, share your posts within the group and keep your moments among yourselves. Close to the people who matter to you.
Blybahn & TU Delft students
Over the past few months, two groups of international design students from TU Delft have taken a critical look at Blybahn. How does the app work, what feels logical and where do people drop off? It gave us some wonderful insights.
Blybahn in seven languages
From now on, Blybahn automatically translates users' posts into seven languages. 🇪🇺 If your French friend writes in French, you simply read her post in your own language, based on your phone's language setting. Step by step, we're making Blybahn accessible to more and more Europeans, in their own language.

Some moments are too special to stay on a screen. That's why we've just launched Blybahn Postcards: 💌 from now on, you can turn any post in Blybahn into a real, printed postcard, and we'll deliver it to whoever you like.
